Starting salary £21,000 pa Applications are invited for a fixed term, full time, post of (Research) Associate within the Department of Computer Science at the University of Liverpool. The post is funded by a KTP (Knowledge Transfer Partnership) award for the Deeside Insurance Web Based Application Toolkit Project between the Department of Computer Science at The University of Liverpool and Deeside Insurance Limited. It is expected that the successful applicant will be a good quality computer science graduate with some knowledge of web application development using PHP, ASP or similar. Some knowledge of Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) and/or web mining would also be desirable. Personal attributes would include good verbal communications and interpersonal skills. The post will be tenable, in the first instance, for a period of two years, commencing July 2007 or shortly thereafter, at an appropriate salary on the RA (1B) scale. It is expected that at the end of this term the successful applicant will continue the research work within Deeside Insurance Limited. The successful applicant will also be afforded the opportunity to register for a Diploma in Management.
