DESCRIPTION:Nick New: Artificial Intelligence at the Speed of Light\n\nIt is a time of great change and development in computing.  The explosion in demand for processing artificial intelligence models has created a drive towards alternative processing methods, at a time when conventional electronic processing is facing fundamental limitations.\n\nOptalysys is developing an optical computing chip technology that provides a solution to these limitations. By combining Fourier Optics with Silicon Photonics, with Deep Learning, the technology will provide processing capabilities far beyond even the fastest electronic processors - whilst consuming a fraction of the power, allowing it to be applied to embedded and mobile applications on the Edge.
