DESCRIPTION:Prof. Simon Parsons: Interaction in Socio-Technical Systems\n\nIn systems composed of autonomous entities, interactions\n\nplay a crucial role. Autonomous systems cannot typically command each\n\nother to do things, rather they must negotiate and persuade to reach\n\ntheir goals. This talk will describe some of the work on interaction\n\nmechanisms carried out in the Agents Lab at Brooklyn College, City\n\nUniversity of New York. Here we are interested in interactions between\n\ncombinations of software agents, humans, and physical systems,\n\ncombinations that we call "socio-technical" systems.
