On other pages, there is a brief note that because of past Aigburth Road widening work, first in 1933 and then in 1970, there has been the need to move several graves.
It is our intention to provide here details of the work that was done, and to provide in time, a guide to the monumental inscriptions and overall history of the cemetary. In the meantime, please contact the Parish Administrator if you have any enquiries about St Austin's Cemetary.
The intention is to digitise the Cemetary Map and to index all available information regarding the location of graves. Work on this has begun, and anyone who is able to volunteer to help with the task is welcomed to contact me. Photographs of the Cemetary Plan were taken prior to it being set off for digitisation and these may be found, with a brief explanation, by following this link. It should be possible to use your Adobe Reader "Zoom Button" to enlarge the images and then to read the names and other text from the photographs.
