Information for PhD
Students (and MPhil Students planning to transfer to PhD)
The most important part of your work is the
research that you do, together with your supervisor, and
the dissertation that you write.
The department and the university provide
additional training and progress monitoring, which are
designed to assist you with your main research.
This page gives you information about what you are required to do
in order to complete the training/progress components of your research
degree.
A full-time PhD student must submit the dissertation within a minimum of
two years and a maximum of four years from the date of first
registration.
Longer periods are available for part-time students. See the graduate

Students
