Dr. Adam Zachary WynerDepartment of Computer ScienceUniversity of Liverpool Liverpool L69 7ZF, UK email azwyner@liverpool.ac.uk tel (+44 151) 795 4294 I am a Research Associate in the Department of Computer Science at the University of Liverpool, working with Trevor Bench-Capon and Katie Atkinson on the IMPACT Project. The focus of the project is the development of online public policy-making tools using a computational model of argumentation. At Liverpool, our interests are to develop a structured online consultation tool; for a prototype of the tool, see the current version of Blog. I have a Ph.D. in Linguistics (1994) from Cornell University, where the subject was the syntax and semantics of adverbial modification. I was awarded a Ph.D. in Computer Science (2008) at King's College London, where the subject is the language, logic, and implementation of deontic concepts (obligation, permission, and prohibition) applied to complex actions for the formal representation of contracts. Thank you for showing an interest in our work.
