G521 BSc (Hons) Computer Information Systems
(4 year route with Carmel College)
Whereas the aim of the Computer Science degree is to introduce you to the underlying principles and theory of computing, the Computer Information Systems degree is more about the practice of computing. It is suitable if you wish to gain a deeper understanding of how to build large-scale information systems. Examples of information systems include databases, WWW sites and spreadsheets.
This programme provides a four year route into a Computer Information Systems BSc (Hons) degree. It is suitable if you do not have a background in science/mathematics but would like to pursue a career that may involve the use of computers in a non-scientific field.
For the full documentation see the programme specification.
